When Should You Disclose Neurodivergence While Dating?
There is no morally correct disclosure clock.
Disclose when the information helps you consent, communicate, or plan—not when a generic rule says a stranger has earned your medical history. You can state a need without naming a neurotype, name a neurotype without explaining identification route, or wait until trust exists.
Before meeting, share anything required to make the plan usable or safe. In chat, share pace and directness early if silence or subtext is likely to create avoidable friction.
A partner may need context; they are not entitled to proof, records, medication details, or a complete autobiography.
