How to Plan a First Date With an Easy Exit

Agreeing the ending makes starting cheaper.

Choose independent transport, a public setting, and a first block of time that counts as complete. Say: **“Let’s plan for forty-five minutes. We can extend if we both want to.”**

Name a neutral exit sentence in advance: “I’m at capacity; I’m going home.” It should not require reassurance, diagnosis, or debate. A person can enjoy the date and still need it to end.

Avoid formats where one person controls the ride, accommodation, or ability to leave. The exit is both an access feature and a safety control.
